Michelle Stallions, DVM


Dr. Stallions was born in Oak Ridge, TN. Later she and her family moved to Alabama, where she attended John C. Calhoun State Community College where she received an Associates in Science Degree in 1986.  Then she attended Auburn University and graduated from the College of Veterinary Medicine in 1991. 

Dr. Stallions is the owner of Green Cove Animal Hospital and has been practicing veterinary medicine at this facility since 1992. Her special interests are dentistry,

 

feline medicine and alternative/complimentary medicine.

Dr. Stallions frequently speaks to schools and civic organizations about veterinary medicine and pet related topics. She also volunteers her veterinary services at Big Wolf Sanctuary of Keystone Heights, FL, and SAFE Animal Shelter. Outside of work, she spends time with her family and enjoys gardening, photography, and other artsy endeavors.  Dr. Stallions is very passionate about veterinary medicine, her Alma Mater-Auburn University, and her country USA. Carpe diem- seize the day.

Cynthia A. Bayless, DVM


Also a graduate of Auburn University, she first attended the University of Kentucky and received a BA Degree in Chemistry and then received a degree in Veterinary Medicine from Auburn University's College of Veterinary Medicine in 1999.  She was born and raised in Middlesboro, a small town in southeastern Kentucky and of course she was brought up playing basketball in the backyard.

She first came to Green Cove Springs in 1999 to complete her preceptorship (intern) at GCAH.  Then she went to work in a small town outside of Athens, GA, where she not only practiced on small animals but also large animals.  After a year, she decided to return to Green Cove Animal Hospital.  She has been here since 2000.  Her special interests are ophthalmology, internal medicine and surgery and emergency medicine.  She spends her free time chasing her 5 year-old. Dr. Bayless is currently Volunteering her veterinary services at the Big Wolf Sanctuary of Keystone Heights, FL.

 

Shannon Menke


Shannon has been a vital member of the Green Cove Animal staff since February 2004. She previously had 2 years of experience with animals. Shannon started here as a technician, trained as a receptionist, and is now the office manager. She graduated from UNF in December 2007 with a Bachelor’s in sociology with a minor in social welfare. Shannon is the proud owner of Mac, a 5-year-old lab bulldog mix that she adopted from Green Cove Animal Hospital.

 

Tara Farwell


Tara has been a part of the Green Cove Animal staff since August 1998. She started here as a receptionist, but now she is also a trained technician. Tara is the mother of three children, and is also the proud owner of two dogs and three cats. She is interested in continuing her education to become a certified technician. Tara graduated from Clay High School and is a native to Green Cove Springs.

 

Lisa Wills


Lisa has been a valuable member of the Green Cove Animal Hospital staff since June 2000. When she is not working, Lisa enjoys spending time with her furry four-legged family members. In addition to her love of animals, she also loves to go camping and attend Bluegrass festivals.

 

Ashley Walters


Ashley has been a fundamental part of the Green Cove Animal staff since August 2005. Ashley appreciates nature and enjoys outdoor activities. She also loves animals of course, and owns three cats, a dog, various snakes, and a frog.  Ashley loves spending time with furry animals, but has a special interest in reptiles.

 
Heather Corwin

Heather has been part of the Green Cove Animal staff since May 2007. She has lived in the Jacksonville area for 17 years. Heather is currently finishing up her Associate’s Degree, with plans to apply to UF next year. She is married to a member of the US Navy and has a handsome 5-year-old son. She loves animals and proudly has two dogs of her own.

 
Jessica Tedder

Jessica joined the Green Cove Animal staff in August 2007 as a receptionist. She brings with her six years of customer service experience. Jessica attended St. John’s River Community College for 2 years to study radiology. Jessica loves animals and has one dog of her own. On her time off she enjoys four wheeling and jet skiing.
